POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two stolen dogs were brutally killed in Werribee early this morning.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said it was believed a black staffey and a white maltese shitsu were stolen from the rear yard of a residence in River Park Court in Werribee after 8pm on Monday night.
“Investigators believe both the dogs were thrown from the window of a vehicle travelling west on Heaths Road as it approached the roundabout at Purches St around 12.15am,” the spokesperson said.
“The two dogs were located deceased on the road by a witness.”
The vehicle, reported to be travelling at speed at the time of the incident, has been described as an early model white 4WD or van.
