FORMER VFL umpire and current chief executive of the AFL Umpires Association Peter Howe, right, handled the tough questions at the Don Deeble Rising Star Award night last week. After an enthralling talk on his umpiring and administrative career, Howe answered queries from attendees on some of the AFL’s most controversial rules. Rising table tennis star Nathan Pellissier was this month’s Don Deeble nominee. Pellissier has a busy schedule ahead of him in the coming months with multiple trips overseas to represent Australia.
