A HOPPERS Crossing Tattlslotto store could be the luckiest in Australia after selling a division one winning ticket late last month.
Amazingly, it is the third such win to come out of the little shop, and the 24th since it opened 15 years ago.
Target Lotto, located inside the Hoppers Crossing Shopping Centre, sold a ticket to a syndicate of 20 people which went on to nab them more than $1.7 million.
Not long before that they also sold a $1 scratchie that won $10,000.
In 2006 they sold a Powerball ticket that saw one elderly lady win an astronomical $9 million all by herself.
Owners Carlo and Christine Addamo said they believed they were becoming known for their Midas touch.
“I think we’re definitely one of the luckiest in Victoria, if not Australia,” Mr Addamo said.
“We get people coming from all over Victoria to buy tickets from us because they’ve heard of how many division ones we are selling.” When Star visited the shop last week at least three people came in with winning tickets.
Mr Addamo said he was not sure why they continued dishing out winning numbers, but it might have something to do with the close to 9000 tickets they sell every week.
“We’re ranked in the top 20 stores in Australia (with the number of tickets they sell),” he said.
“We don’t have any Buddhas, lucky horseshoes or four-leaf clovers. I think we’re too scared to get them.”
