FIVE Brimbank teenagers have been charged over an armed robbery in the CBD last Wednesday that left five people in hospital.
Police searched four premises in the Deer Park and Delahey areas last Tuesday and arrested six teenagers, charging five with robbery, affray and serious assaults.
Two 19-year-olds from Delahey have been bailed to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 22 November while three other teenagers from Delahey and Deer Park will appear in the Children’s Court on the same day.
The sixth teenager was released without any charges being laid.
Police are looking for two other men they believe were involved in the assault.
The charges relate to an alleged armed robbery on the footpath between Flinders Street railway station and the Yarra River at 11.15pm last Wednesday.
Six men, ranging in age from 20 to 28, told police they were robbed and assaulted by a group of youths armed with bottles and tree stakes.
