THE talents of a creative group of students from Kealba Secondary College will be on display at an exhibition called Art In Transit at the Hunt Club Community Arts Centre in Deer Park.
The exhibition, co-ordinated by Brimbank City Council, is part of a larger project funded by the Department of Infrastructure, in partnership with Connex, which set out to beautify two of Brimbank’s main railway stations – Sunshine and Albion. The project has seen the work of students at the college go on permanent display with murals at both Sydenham-line stations.
Throughout the project, the students worked with the professional artist AJ Tan and Kealba Secondary College art teacher Barbara Chiodo, who have been working with students at the school for the past four years.
Art In Transit has been delivered as part of Brimbank’s Integrated Community Safety Strategy and Graffiti Management Plan.
The exhibition will be open until 20 June.
