LORI McLean is the only candidate who regularly had the ear of the Premier in recent months.
The feisty community worker has campaigned hard for more local police since last September, securing nearly 10,000 signatures.
She frequently challenged Mr Bracks on talkback radio.
The longtime Werribee resident has also worked tirelessly to remove graffiti, beautify the CBD and Werribee River, and help local youth.
She wants to offer a free shuttle bus for shoppers and train commuters, and reinvigorate Wyndham’s train stations with murals, cafes, music and lighting.
Ms McLean said she’s proud to be a grassroots campaigner who has no political bias.
