THE long-awaited plans for one of Wyndham’s largest reserves have finally been revealed with the council voting to approve the Hogans Rd Reserve Draft Master Plan.
The plans were approved at last week’s council meeting and are now on public exhibition so the community can inspect them and make comments.
Truganina Ward Councillor Kim McAliney said that once the finalised plan was adopted, it would set out a strategic vision for the future of the reserve.
“Hogans Rd Reserve accommodates a range of recreational activities and this plan will provide a key strategic planning tool for future development and enhancement of the reserve,” Cr McAliney said.
“The reserve is a hub of activity for the Hoppers Crossing community and especially the Hoppers Crossing Sports Club and a number of nearby residents who use the facilities on a regular basis.
“Ultimately, it’s the residents and user groups that will determine the future of their reserve, so it’s vital that we hear from them.”
