SHE may only be eight years old but Werribee South’s Olivia Garra is already showing remarkable talent as a photographer, winning her second art competition in just weeks.
The pint-sized snapper entered the 3AW Breakfast show’s Postcard competition in which listeners were asked to submit a photo of their suburb.
Hosts of the show, Ross Stevenson and John Burns, will now broadcast from Werribee South and Olivia will also take home a bag of prizes for herself.
Olivia’s photo of the Werribee South Beach shows the sun setting, giving off a beautiful pink light that perfectly depicts the hidden gem.
And while Olivia was a little bit shy and very modest about her talent, saying “I just hold the camera in front of my face and take the photo”, her mother Robyn said her daughter had a natural talent.
“She’s always taking photos of her younger sister Francesca doing silly poses,” Robyn said.
“Sometimes I go to use my camera and I find that it’s filled with lots of photos that she’s taken.”
The competition was open to all ages, making Olivia’s achievements even more remarkeable.
Last month she won an art competition at Werribee Mercy Hospital with a similar photo of a beach at Werribee South.
