JUST days before the Prime Minister celebrated her 50th birthday she was holding a meeting with 11 western suburbs local members.
Last Tuesday Julia Gillard met with Tim Pallas, Marsha Thomson, Jill Hennessy, Bill Shorten, Wade Noonan and Nicola Roxon along with other members to discuss the challenges facing the Western Suburbs.
The main issues covered in the meeting were ways to stimulate suburban job creation and how to support local education institutions to further develop skills and employment opportunities.
Prime Minister and Member for Lalor, Julia Gillard, said the meeting was a great success.
“Our meeting today allowed us to personally address the current issues and concerns facing western suburbs MPs, so that together we can continue to deliver for the communities we are proud to represent,” Ms Gillard said.
