DELAHEY residents will be given a glimpse into the future when trolleys fitted with computers are unveiled in IGA.
The new “VIP” trolleys are fitted with a computer screen and a scanner and are designed to add up how much shoppers spend and help them find particular items.
Customers can also load their shopping list into the computer and scan each item as they shop, keeping a running tally of their purchases.
It will be the first time the revolutionary technology has been trialled in Victoria.
Morgan’s Supa IGA owner Neal Morgan said he was excited to bring the cutting edge technology to his customers.
“I think shoppers are going to love them,” Mr Morgan said.
“My team and I jumped at the chance to be the first in our state to introduce the VIP trolleys.”
The new trolleys will also provide information on specials, along with recipe ideas and pricing.
