A MASSIVE industrial precinct will create hundreds of jobs in Wyndham, helping to relieve the municipality’s chronic traffic congestion.

Concorde Business Park, located on Concorde Crescent in Werribee, is the last private industrial land available for sale in Werribee.

The total size of the Park is 69,000 square meters in size with up to 34 businesses set to relocate to the area.

Mark Erskine, the Director of Yourland Developments, which is developing the site, said just over half the lots available had already sold and he expected strong interest in the remaining plots of land.

“Some of our purchasers, all local businesses, have started building their factories, so by mid next year we expect many will be operating from Concorde Business Park, and it will really come to life,” Mr Erskine said.

Ian McClure from McClure’s Moving and Storage told Star that he bought one of the lots because otherwise he would have had to move his business to Derrimut if he wanted to expand it.

“We’ve been in Werribee for 65 years,” Mr McClure said.

“This is a good area out here because it’s central to where all our business comes from and it’s central to where all the growth is.

“If we couldn’t buy here we would have had to pack up and move to Derrimut.”

Mr McClure said he understood all the other businesses that are already moving to the Park are owner operators that will employ local people.

“They’re all self employed people that run their own businesses,” he said.

The project is being sold by local agents First National Real Estate Westwood and Melbourne-based commercial specialist CBRE.
