BRIMBANK City Council’s 2008 Meet Your Council program started at St Albans Square last Saturday with a free sausage sizzle.
The program will continue to make its way to major shopping centres across Brimbank until 5 July.
Meet Your Council is an annual program where Brimbank councillors visit shopping centres throughout the city to meet the community and hear their concerns.
This is the sixth year the program has been run.
Brimbank mayor Sam David invited residents to come along to one of the sessions to meet their local ward councillors.
“The Meet Your Council program provides a real opportunity for the people of Brimbank to come along to their local shopping centre and speak to their ward councillors or council officers about any concerns, issues or questions they have,” Cr David said.
There will be five more sessions on the following days:
• Saturday 3 May – 10am to 1pm at St Albans Square, Main Rd East, St Albans.
• Saturday 17 May – 10am to 1pm at Sunshine Marketplace, Hampshire Rd, Sunshine.
• Saturday 31 May – 10am to 1pm at Delahey Village Shopping Centre, corner Taylors and Kings roads, Delahey.
• Saturday 7 June – 10am to 1pm at Centro Keilor Downs shopping centre, Taylors Rd, Keilor Downs.
• Saturday 21 June – 10am to 1pm at Brimbank Central, Station Rd, Deer Park.
• Saturday 5 July – 10am to 1pm at Watergardens Town Centre, Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes.
