A GROUP of Wyndham men with a passion to make a difference will don their bicycle helmets in the name of charity.
Aaron Anstis, Leigh Johnston, Gary O’Dea, Andrew Hopper, Scott Mawson and Craig Paton will be taking part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
The 200 kilometre ride through Victoria will raise money for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
The group of men will be riding as Kyle’s Crew in honour of a close friend who is currently battling cancer.
Kyle’s Crew are being sponsored by Werribee Automotive Group and have already raised $13,000, but still hope to reach their goal of raising $20,000.
“I am about to embark on my most challenging assignment, this challenge is going to be both physically and mentally draining, however I will do my very best to grit my teeth and continue on as I know the people and families of affected cancer patients have done before,” Mr Johnston said.
“Not once have I ever heard anyone complain and say ‘why me’, so this ride is not only for the people I have known, but the people I may know or WE may know in the future.”
