Artistic edge

THE Western Edge Youth Arts group is pulling out all the stops for this year’s Big West Festival. The group is offering seven new works at this year’s festival, including Playback West, where performers create improvisational theatre from the audience’s stories; Stack, a collection of five short works from Western Edge’s emerging artists; and Play, which teaches childhood games from around the world. “This is the first time we’ve had a really big collection of works at the Big West Festival,” creative director Cymbeline Buhler said.
