TWO transport strategies have been developed by Maribyrnong City Council to cater for the projected population growth in the municipality.
The draft Maribyrnong Integrated Transport Strategy considers all the transport, parking, access and mobility elements that affect the municipality, while the draft Northern Maribyrnong Integrated Transport Strategy focuses on the transport network in and around Highpoint Shopping Centre.
Both strategies are long-term plans which will help guide the development of Maribyrnong’s transport system over the next decade and focus on offering more sustainable transport.
The two strategies are out for consultation until 9 December. They can be viewed at the Footscray Town Hall, libraries or online at www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au.
