A PASSION for motorbikes, coffee and raising money for charity will lead the path for a charity ride which will cross through Hoppers Crossing later this year.
The Black Dog Ride is a motorcycle ride event around Australia which helps raise money and awareness of depression and suicide prevention.
The ride around the nation covering approximately 14,500kms in 32 days.
And this year joining the adventure will be Yahava, the ’adventure in a cup’ coffee shop whose founders have travelled far and wide to create the ultimate coffee experience for patrons.
Yahava team members will travel on specially-built motor bikes equipped with built-on coffee machines along the same path as the Black Dog riders and supply them with free coffee.
Yahava Hoppers Crossing manager Chris Green was thrilled to be bringing his passions together for the charity adventure.
“It is purely that the team want to make a contribution, we are all pretty passionate about the charity,” Mr Green said.
Mr Green said it was a bit of an added bonus that the Yahava team members loved motor biking.
“I think its appealing to a sense of adventure, you can go on your own personal adventure and support a charity,” he said.
“And that’s partly why it works so well with the Yahava team because that’s what we’re all about, we’re about adventure.”
Mr Green hoped the Wyndham community would get just as excited for the charity adventure as he and his team were.
“By bringing it to Hoppers Crossing we are going to try and build awareness in the local community,” Mr Green said.
“We’d love for people to get behind it and support it,” he said.
The riders will pass through Hoppers Crossing in August.
Yahava Hoppers Crossing is the first store to open in Victoria and is a Kwik Koffee drive through store.
