A WYNDHAM Vale man has been charged with 13 counts of burglary after police executed a search warrant on his house last month.
Officers from the Wyndham Burglary Unit searched the Wyndham Vale property on 15 June this year where they found a substantial amount of stolen property.
The 29-year-old man was arrested and subsequently interviewed and charged in relation to a series of burglaries committed on houses under construction in the Wyndham area.
He was charged with 13 counts of burglary and theft and was bailed to appear before the Werribee Magistrates Court.
Police are also investigating a burglary and theft at a home in Kerford Crescent in Point Cook.
Between 9am and 4.40pm on 2 July the criminals entered the property by removing a flyscreen from a bedroom window.
Once they were inside the house they stole jewellery and a computer.
In another incident being investigated by police is the theft of a bobcat from a storage yard in Hammer Court in Hoppers Crossing.
The theft occurred between 29 June and 3 July and a section of a cyclone fence was cut so the thieves could gain access to the property.
A police spokesperson said it was believed a either a truck or a trailer was used to steal the bobcat.
