A WERRIBEE student with passion and ability has had his hard work recognised in a meeting with Premier Ted Baillieu.
Stuart Willart was a VCE student at MacKillop Catholic College in Werribee when he received a top score of 50 while participating in the VET Music Industry Technical Production Certificate III last year.
As a result of his perfect score of 50, Stuart was presented with a Premier’s Award by Mr Baillieu late last month.
Marcus McLaughlin, the Performing Art Co-ordinator at MacKillop College and Stuart’s teacher, said the student’s hard work had now resulted in a job in his chosen industry.
“As part of the course he was involved in a number of practical tasks which included studio recording of bands, the production of live sound for a variety of events and editing of audio for CDs and videos,” Mr McLaughlin said.
“Stuart was also successfully involved in a number of production activities outside of the college and is now studying audio engineering and working professionally in the music industry.”
