WYNDHAM detectives have put a stop to a crime spree which saw one man nab around $50,000 in more than 30 separate burglaries.
A police spokesperson said that detectives from the Wyndham Burglary Unit arrested a 35-year-old Bellfield man on Friday 29 July in relation to the thefts.
“The man confessed to committing over 30 burglaries and 15 attempted burglaries on nine separate plazas from Melbourne to Geelong and was wanted by numerous criminal investigation units throughout the region,” the spokesperson said.
“The man had stolen around $50,000 in cash in the month of July alone and was subsequently remanded in custody to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on Monday 1 August where he was further remanded to Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.”
