WERRIBEE park will come to life under a sea of thousands of kids as the annual Children’s Week Picnic rolls into town later this month.
The free event is on Sunday 23 October from 10am to 4pm and has been running for more than 20 years.
Some of the highlights for kids to look forward to are stage shows by Kung Fu Panda, 10 roving characters including a giant butterfly and a giant giraffe, and Werribee Open Range Zoo animal presentations.
There will also be a new toy swap initiative where kids can bring three old toys in the morning and swap them for three new ones in the afternoon.
“Every year this event attracts thousands of children to one of Wyndham’s most iconic attractions for a day of free activities and entertainment and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever,” Wyndham Mayor John Menegazzo said.
For more information on the picnic call Wyndham City Council on 9742 0902 or visit www.wynd
