WERRIBEE South’s beach will soon boast some new features to match its natural beauty.
Improvement works on the foreshore have just been finished, including a boat ramp, two pontoons and a three metre-wide boardwalk.
The $1 million works were funded by Wyndham City Council and the Department of Transport.
Wyndham Mayor Cr John Menegazzo said the works at the popular spot looked magnificent.
“The previous boardwalk was dilapidated and the replacement is both wider and more attractive,” he said.
“The new ramp was necessary to deal with rising demand from people using Werribee South as a launching place for boating and will ensure a faster turnaround for those wanting to launch and retrieve their boats.”
