The off-season always throws up a number of questions which can only be answered on the footy ground.
Can Spotswood continue its dominance of the league? Can Albion cover the losses of several star players? Was last year’s thrilling preliminary final a sign of things to come for Altona? Does Port Melbourne have the list to reclaim
its glory days?
But perhaps the most intriguing question is this: Can Deer Park create WRFL history by being the first team ever to make finals in its debut Division 1 season?
Many pundits seem to think so, and judging by the Lions’ new recruits, they may have the capacity to go deep into finals. But the time for speculating is over. Bring on the season.
