MARIBYRNONG City Council is calling for nominations for its annual Maribyrnong Inclusive Recognition Awards.
Now in its second year, the awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals with a disability and groups, businesses and not-for-profit organisations that contribute to improving the quality of life for people with a disability.
Categories include inclusive business practices, personal achievement, arts individual, arts group, sporting achievement individual, sporting achievement club and volunteering.
The awards will be held on 1 December as part of International Day of People with Disability.
Nominations for the MIRA Awards close on Friday 11 November. Nomination forms can be downloaded from council’s website www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au or by emailing mira@maribyrnong.vic.gov.au
