CAESIA Gardens resident Alma Mayer loves the close-knit community and beautiful gardens of her Caroline Springs retirement village.
The lifestyle which Ms Mayer fell in love with will be on display on Sunday, October 23 from 12pm to 2pm when the village hosts a barbecue street party to display the latest home designs on offer to the public.
Ms Mayer said she “fell in love with the place straight away” when she first visited Lend Lease’s Caesia Gardens in Caroline Springs.
“I had been living in the same house for more than 30 years and the garden was getting too much for me. Plus, I wasn’t feeling safe at night so I was keen to move to a smaller property,” she said.
“The great thing about Caesia Gardens is you can do your own thing and enjoy your privacy but you also have the opportunity to be sociable.”
At the barbecue street party, visitors to Caesia Gardens will be able to tour the village and display homes as part of the community’s stage five release.
Homes start from $299,000 and include two or three bedroom units with generous open plan living and dining areas.
All homes have a five-star energy rating and have been designed to take advantage of natural sunshine for passive solar heating.
Gail Monument from Caesia Gardens said residents were a “close-knit community of active and engaged residents.”
“As part of the barbecue street party we will be having a sausage sizzle, a roving jazz performer and children’s entertainment,” she said.
“The village’s new bocce field will also be open for games, as will the bowling green and outdoor chess set – the day promises to be a lot of fun.
“If you’ve been curious about retirement living, why not come along to the barbecue and take a tour of the village to see firsthand what’s on offer.”
Buyers of homes within stage five will receive two tickets for a cruise to New Zealand aboard the ‘Dawn Princess’.
To be eligible, homes must be reserved before October 31 and settled by March 31, 2012.
