Numbers up for burglars

POLICE captured two burglars driving a stolen car in Altona North last Wednesday.
During the early hours of the morning officers received a report from the public about a suspicious-looking vehicle on the corner of Millers Road and the West Gate Freeway.
The Williamstown divisional van attended and discovered the number plates on the vehicle had allegedly been stolen.
The car containing the criminals has also been stolen during an aggravated burglary in Point Cook on 31 July this year.
Police recovered a quantity of drugs and associated paraphernalia within the vehicle.
They arrested a 29-year-old Hoppers Crossing man and a 27-year-old Werribee woman in the car.
The female was released on summons and the male was remanded to appear at the Sunshine Magistrate’s court where he was released on bail.
