WYNDHAM residents are being encouraged to shop locally to give themselves the chance to spoil their mum’s this Mother’s Day.
The Werribee Chamber of Commerce is running a promotion in a bid to boost awareness of the shopping opportunities in Werribee.
As part of the promotion 10 local businesses are offering a prize of $150 each.
Anyone who shops at one of the participating stores will go into the running to win the Perfect Day Out prize valued at over $1500 for themselves or their mum as a Mother’s Day treat.
President of the Werribee Chamber of Commerce and owner of Tonia T Boutique, Tonia Tribe, said the competition was a perfect way for residents to spoil their mothers.
“The businesses in the Werribee CBD are collectively getting together to make someone’s day really special,” Ms Tribe said.
“We’re really excited to be able to give this opportunity to someone and for them to be pampered for a day.”
Ms Tribe said the Werribee Chamber of Commerce would continue to promote the CBD.
“The focus of the Chamber of Commerce is to draw focus on Werribee and make people aware of all the wonderful shops in the area and the fact that they’ve got something really beautiful on their doorstep,” she said.
The businesses taking part in the promotion are Chatterbox Café, Dorothy’s of Werribee, Fifth Element Day Spa, Gift Givers Gallery, Master Dry Cleaners, Quest Apartments, Sechi Hair, Snapshot Studio, The Park Hotel and Tonia T Boutique.
