THE Australian Electoral Commission will be knocking on doors in Maribyrnong looking for anyone who has moved address and not updated their enrolment.
The (AEC) is encouraging eligible people to be correctly enrolled before this year’s federal election.
AEC officers wearing identification badges will be visiting residences between 4pm and 7pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturdays and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
The Divisional Returning Officer for Maribyrnong, Betty Brown, said doorknocking would encourage people to enrol or update their electoral roll details.
“Anyone who has moved address and not updated their enrolment may have been removed from the electoral roll and they may be unaware of this,” she said.
