STUDENTS and staff at Caroline Chisholm College will make history with their latest stage production, entitled Repeating History.
The new show is a move away from the college’s tradition of interpreting popular musicals.
Instead they will perform a show conceptualised and written by the college’s performing arts staff.
Repeating History focuses on the themes of adolescence, multiculturalism, family, lifechanging choices and love.
The script has been a year in the making and features popular music to enhance the original storyline.
At the centre of the play are characters Billy and Lucy who are under pressure to make some tough decisions about their future in the face of their upcoming graduation.
Other students are also dealing with personal angst such as Thao who is frustrated, Bruce who is a daydreamer and the annoying Germain.
Repeating History will be performed on 1718 August at the Clocktower Centre, 750 Mount Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds.
Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for concession. Phone 9243 9191 or visit www.clocktowercentre.com.au.
