A LIFE of spinning discs and getting the crowd up and dancing has become one Werribee teenager’s goal.
Adam Syme has been practicing his skills as a DJ for the past two years and has since become popular at local parties and functions.
Next month he will turn 17, making him another year closer to achieving one of his goals of performing in nightclubs.
As well as celebrating his birthday, next month Adam will perform at Goodlife Festival, an underage music event that attracts crowds of more than 30,000 people.
Other performers at the event include worldwide sensation, Gangnam Style singer, Psy, and Will K.
Adam said he loved the feeling of performing in front of enthusiastic crowds.
“I really enjoy the thrill of people liking the tunes I play,” Adam said.
“I just love music, it’s tough to explain why.”
Adam said he was given the opportunity to perform at Goodlife when Nathan Galeano, a fellow DJ, approached him after seeing him perform.
He is currently doing a course at EMA Music and said he hopes to become a professional DJ and produce his own music.
Adam said he was excited to take to the stage at Goodlife and would be performing a one hour set.
The Goodlife Festival will be held on Firday 8 March. For more information visit www.goodlifefest.com.au
