A NEW residential community in Point Cook is taking shape with the recent opening of an arterial road.
The developers of Saltwater Coast, FKP, announced last week that Saltwater Promenade, which connects the development to Point Cook Rd, was now servicing residents.
Works on roads surrounding St Mary’s Catholic Primary School are also underway and were expected to be completed by next month.
FKP Executive General Manager of Developments NSW and Victoria, Evian Delfabbro, said the primary school as well as a childcare centre opening in 2014, will provide the growing community with much needed access to education facilities.
“Proximity to education facilities is a priority for Point Cook residents, particularly given the large number of young families in the area,” Ms Delfabbro said.
“Saltwater Coast will also be home to a second primary school by 2016.”
Saltwater Reserve, located at the entrance to Saltwater Coast on the corner of Point Cook Rd and Saltwater Promenade, is nearing completion and on track to be finished in April 2013.
The reserve will service a host of local sporting clubs and boasts a range of first class sporting facilities including a synthetic oval, two natural turf ovals, three soccer grounds and eight tennis courts.
A lifestyle centre exclusive to residents has also been completed while neighbourhood shopping is expected to be completed by 2016.
