CITY of Maribyrnong train commuters might be given a free day ticket as compensation for the inconvenience caused by late trains last month.
Connex will give residents who used monthly, half-year or annual tickets in June the opportunity to apply for a daily ticket following delays to more than 2500 trains last month.
Connex said additional services, expected later this year, will improve running time and reduce delays caused by overcrowding.
