RATE notices will be sent to residential and commercial property owners at the end of this month.
The City of Maribyrnong, in line with State Government regulations, revalued properties, with the new value set at 1 January 2006.
Mayor Janet Rice said some owners can expect to receive a larger rate “because the value of their property has gone up significantly compared to the average property value increases in this city.”
“In these cases, their rates would go up even if we set a 0 per cent overall rates increase.”
