Last Wednesday Williams pleaded guilty to the murders of Lewis Moran, his son Jason Moran, and Mallia, although the identity of Mallia was not revealed until the suppression order was lifted the following day at 1pm.
Mallia was widely reported to have been one of the western suburbs’ biggest drug dealers.
His family, according to media reports, emigrated to Sunshine West from Malta.
The Herald Sun last week reported that police had linked Mallia to slain drug dealer Willie Thompson, and that Mallia lived around the corner from underworld figure, Andrew Veniamin.
In what was one of the biggest weeks in the history of Melbourne’s long-running gangland saga, police also revealed that Williams was found guilty last year of the murder of Michael Marshall and was serving a minimum 21 years in jail for that crime.
