A MAIDSTONE woman was arrested by Footscray Police last Wednesday for trafficking heroin.
The arrest was the culmination of a three-month operation, which included searches on the 32-year-old woman’s Maidstone home and premises in Braybrook, Flemington and Keilor Downs.
She was charged with other offences including possession of stolen goods.
A Footscray Police officer said $20,000 in cash was seized from the woman’s home in addition to stolen goods such as clothes and handbags.
Police also arrested a man on 28 August for trafficking meth-amphetamine in Nicholson St Mall, Footscray.
The officer said methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, was usually not found in Footscray.
