THE bright lights of Hollywood are calling and one Werribee schoolgirl is ready to step right in front of them.
Eight-year-old Ayeisha Abdi-Farah was one of thousands of children that auditioned for American talent scouts in Melbourne.
The producers immediately liked what they saw and Ayeisha was chosen along with a handful of other children to attend a second round of auditions in Florida.
If she is successful during the second round of auditions Ayeisha will sign with an agent and possibly work with Nickelodeon and Disney.
To add even more to the experience, Ayeisha and her family will also get to stay at Disney World when they travel to Florida next month for the auditions.
“She’s always loved acting and dressing up around the house,” her mother Sarah said.
“Her audition only went for 10 seconds and then they wanted her.”
As a result of her instant success, Ayeisha’s mum enrolled her at Werribee Screen Actor’s Studio where she has been honing her skills and learning as much as possible before she goes to America.
“The first week or so after she started she was pretty quiet but now her personality has started to shine through,” her acting teacher Robyn said.
While Ayeisha is confident that she wants to be an actor, her younger brother Tyriq has different ideas for her.
“I know what she wants to be. A pop star,” Tyriq said.
