FOOTSCRAY City College students welcomed a new school crossing across Farnsworth Avenue last week.
The crossing – which is south of Kinnear St – has been designed to improve pedestrian safety.
A new bus shelter was also installed.
The new location was chosen based on traffic flow, pedestrian movements and consultation with a number of community bodies.
“We urge motorists to be aware of the change in traffic conditions and observe all reduced speed limits around school areas,” Maribyrnong mayor Michelle MacDonald said.
