Brazen break-ins

A SPATE of daylight robberies that occurred in Point Cook last Monday has police calling for witnesses.
Between 9am and 8.15pm on Monday, October 11 unknown offenders broke into six different houses, scoring an impressive bounty of stolen goods.
They stole laptops, jewellery, mobile phones, iPods and game consoles.
In all cases the burglars either entered a rear sliding door or jemmied open a bathroom window to get into the houses.
Police believe that the thieves may be knocking on doors in the area to establish if anyone was home first.
If someone answers the door they simply make up an excuse for knocking on the door and then flee the premises. Anyone with information or who had an unknown person knock on their door around the time of these offences, should contact Detective Senior Constable Shannon Thompson of the Wyndham Criminal Investigation Unit on 9742 9450.
