MEMBERS of the Brimbank Transport Action Group (BTAG) will hold a public rally in November in protest against the Government’s proposed Westlink tunnel.
BTAG will join with Maribyrnong’s No Freeway For West Footscray group to publicly demonstrate against the controversial road tunnel which forms part of the Victorian Transport Plan.
BTAG spokeswoman Debbie Woods said the two groups had united to stage the demonstration in a bid to gain the best possible outcome for the community.
The group is planning to invite local MPs to attend the event, which will be held in Footscray’s Nicholson St Mall on Saturday 21 November from noon. For more information call 0438 119 185.
