Cemetery robbed, ‘heartless’ thieves

A GRAVE crime was committed in Werribee last week, which Wyndham police labelled as “heartless”.
Between Friday 7 October and Monday 10 October, thieves broke into a shed located on site at the Werribee Cemetery and stole a large amount of machinery and tools, used for upkeep of the grounds.
The unknown offenders forced open the roller door and loaded the goods into their vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
Senior Constable Fiona Reid from Wyndham Police described the crime as “heartless”.
She urged residents with information about the burglary to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
