ROBBERIES, assaults and arson are among the Wyndham area’s unsolved crimes from the past 12 months.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about these incidents to anonymously contact the Crime Stoppers hotline on 1800 333 000, to help solve the crimes.
One of the unsolved incidents includes an armed robbery which occurred in Wyndham Vale on 18 October this year at a 7-Eleven store on Ballan Rd.
A man allegedly produced a knife, demanded the shop attendant give him cash and cigarettes, and left on foot.
The offender was described as caucasian, aged in his early 20s, about 175cm tall, with short dark hair, a slim build, and a soul-patch style goatee.
He was wearing a black hooded jumper and had a New Zealand accent.
Earlier in the year, on 21 March, a woman was walking through a park on the corner of Purchas St and Latham St, Hoppers Crossing, when she spoke to a man regarding his dog being off the leash.
The man became abusive towards the woman and threw a large rock at her, hitting her in the foot.
The man was described as dark skinned, about 22 years-old, with brown, wavy, shoulder length hair and an athletic build.
The man was wearing board shorts but was not wearing a shirt. He had a sleeve tattoo on his left arm and an earring in his left ear.
An additional unsolved crime in the area, from 12 February, involved a female victim and several other passengers, who got off a train at Hoppers Crossing Railway Station.
When the victim reached her car she was grabbed from behind by a group of several young men and women.
The group allegedly stole the victim’s handbag and assaulted her.
The group of young men and women were aged around 18 years old, approximately 165cm tall, dark skinned and had strong accents.
