Bike bandits

BOLD thieves stole two motorcycles from an Old Geelong Rd store on 9 February, and then fled the scene on the back of their new bikes.
Wyndham detectives are investigating the burglary, which occurred between 3.20am-3.30am, after two offenders used a large bin to shield them from view as they broke into the shop.
They also smashed the lock of an anti-ram gate and cut the motorcycle’s anti-theft cables with a large pair of bolt cutters. The thieves – who brought fuel along to the burglary, carried in a milk container and a clear 1.25 litre plastic bottle – filled the motorcycles with petrol before speeding away.
These offenders were described as males, wearing all black, possibly wearing helmets.
They could have filled their petrol containers at a nearby service station. The stolen motorbikes were both Yamahas, one a WR250F model and the other a YZ450FSE.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed two males filling up containers with petrol at a petrol station around this time, or who has information regarding the burglary, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
