MEMBERSHIP numbers at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre last week surpassed those of the now closed Footscray Swim Centre.
A Maribyrnong City Council officer said the centre had a membership of “approximately 1800 members compared to Footscray Swim Centre’s 1200”.
There was some confusion as to whether membership to MAC was still available.
But a Maribyrnong Council officer said membership to MAC was still open but the option to take a special discount rate was no longer available.
