A WERRIBEE South artist who has lived and breathed horses since childhood has made her four legged friends the subject of her first solo exhibition.
Catherine Camerlengo’s exhibition, Equus, is a display of oil paintings and works on paper on show at Wyndham Cultural Centre.
The dental technician works for her husband’s Werribee dentist business and has spent the past three years undertaking a Diploma of Visual Arts at CAE with a major in painting.
The mother of three sons said there was a “huge gap” between when she painted during her school years and picking up the brush for the now, nearly-completed course.
“It’s been a passion of mine, but I want to make it more of a career,” she said.
Catherine has also completed an advanced diploma in equine studies, and happily describes herself as “the eternal student”.
Equus is on display from 14 to 27 October at Wyndham Cultural Centre.
