TRAFFIC signal works at the intersection of Copperfield and Hume drives are complete.
The project was part of Brimbank’s 2005-2006 capital works program and cost a total of $407,000.
Brimbank mayor Natalie Suleyman said the new signals would make the intersection safer for motorists and pedestrians.
“With more and more traffic traveling along these roads and through this intersection it was important that we made these improvements,” she said.
“More people are moving into nearby estates, and the recent opening of the connection of Hume Drive to Calder Park Drive means even more motorists will be using this stretch of road,” she said.
