A 16-year-old boy and three other men could be charged with criminal damage following a neighbourhood feud that turned into a brawl.
On 1 January it is alleged that four male offenders went to a house in Kimberly Drive in Werribee and smashed windows, damaged a car and threatened to stab a man.
It is believed the fight erupted following a dispute over a barking pet dog.
Officer in Charge of the Werribee Crime Investigation Unit, Detective Senior Sergeant John Johnston, told Star that police attended the incident and a summons application had been made but no one had been charged yet.
A resident of Kimberly Drive that did not want to be identified told Star that the fight had left her living in fear.
“You don’t wake up and expect to hear people threatening to kill each other and smashing windows,” the resident said.
“As soon as I heard the shouting and glass smashing I expected to see homicide cops there the next day.
“I wouldn’t say I feel particularly comfortable in my own home anymore.”
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
