WYNDHAM residents can look forward to a range of exciting developments in the Werribee City Centre in 2013, including the opening of the Wedge Street Piazza Café and the Werribee River Trail Rail Underpass.
According to Wyndham Council, the long-term vision is for the Werribee City Centre to combine with the East Werribee Employment Precinct and underline Wyndham’s position as the capital of Melbourne’s new West.
Cr Peter Maynard said encouraging investment and creating jobs would be crucial in maintaining a strong and vibrant Werribee City Centre.
“Wyndham City is enhancing the Werribee City Centre by creating new public spaces and connections to the Werribee River and Wyndham Park,” Cr Maynard said.
“The recently opened Wedge Street Pedestrian Bridge is a key part of these works, providing a new pedestrian and bicycle connection between the Werribee City Centre and Wyndham Park.
“Upcoming works in the Werribee City Centre include the construction of a Café in the Wedge Street Piazza, which is scheduled to be completed by December 2013.”
