RESIDENTS can put water-saving tips on their shopping list when they visit Highpoint this month: City West Water has set up shop to sell the water conservation message to residents this summer.
The kiosk will give shoppers a chance to tour key areas of the home — the bathroom, kitchen, garden and laundry — with displays showing simple ways to save water.
Shoppers can pick up tips on how to check if a toilet is leaking, suitable uses for grey water and how to keep their garden healthy. Information will also be available on claiming government rebates.
There is also the chance to win a share of $1600 worth of water-saver garden centre vouchers.
City West Water customers can swap their old showerhead for a free three-star water-efficient one that can help save up to 13,500 litres of water per person every year.
City West Water managing director Anne Barker said customers just needed their bill and old showerhead to claim a new water-efficient showerhead. The Water Wise for Life kiosk will be on level two at Highpoint Shopping Centre until Sunday 3 February.
