IT’S a good time to start again and Goodstart Early Learning is doing just that when they reopen their doors next month.
Goodstart Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing was forced to close in 2011 due to extensive flood damage.
But after undergoing renovations the centre has been reinvigorated with indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Centre Director Lisa Secombe said staff were looking forward to showing off the centre at the community open day and warmly welcoming the new families, children and visitors.
“We are just thrilled to be reopening our centre and know that it will provide a great boost to early education in the local area,” Ms Secombe said.
“All the play equipment is brand new, the inside has a fresh new look and outside there is a new playground, swings and wooden fort.”
Another added feature is the new parents’ room.
Ms Secombe said the parents’ room will be a place where parents can meet, access library resources and a place where mums can breastfeed in private.
“Down the track we hope to offer the space to parents groups too,” she said.
The new centre is set to reduce waiting times and better assist local families with their early learning and care needs.
Goodstart Early Learning, which is a not-for-profit organisation, will also run a government funded kindergarten program.
The open day will be on Friday 2 August.
It will start at 10am with the official ribbon cutting and VIP speeches at noon followed by a light lunch.
