CITY West Water is urging customers to renovate their loo for less than $250 and save water as part of the toilet replacement program.
Newport resident Marie van der Weert is one of thousands who have already taken up this opportunity and upgraded her old toilet with a new four-star water-saving model at a subsidised rate.
“Our old toilet was about 15-20 years old and while it was a dual flush, it had become tired and was wasting water so it was time to update,” Ms van der Weert said. “It was such an easy process – I saw the brochure, rang the number and they attended to the job almost immediately, and the installer finished the job in the time he quoted and was very pleasant.
“I love the smaller cistern which takes up less space and the pan has less curves which makes cleaning easier. Best of all, the price quoted was the price we paid – also important.”
City West Water managing director Anne Barker said Ms van der Weert was one of thousands of customers who had already taken advantage of the program.
