THE Wyndham Civic Centre will welcome animals of all shapes and sizes at the Pet Expo later this month.
The expo allows residents to register their pets, microchip them and talk to animal experts. There will also be a reptile expo, dog obedience display, competitions and pet products for sale.
People wanting to get their pet microchipped on the day can pre-pay the fee of $25 before the event.
Wyndham City Council legislative services co-ordinator Craig Murray said the expo was designed for both current and potential pet owners.
“The pet expo gives residents valuable information on how to care for their pets and what their responsibilities are, as well as informing the choices of people who are considering getting a pet,” Mr Murray said.
“It is a legislative requirement that all dogs and cats over the age of three months must be registered with council and discounted registration is offered to owners who have desexed or microchipped their pets.”
The expo will be held on 28 March from 8.30am until 2pm. For further information contact council’s legislative services department on 9742 0811.
